Captains Preview 2008

2007 season will obviously go down in the clubs history as the most successful one in the modern era with success throughout the club.  It was also as mentioned previously an enormously proud one for me to be involved in.

This said, 2008 promises to be an exciting but difficult challenge and one i'm hoping we can all work hard together in making it another successful one for Mytholmroyd Cricket Club.

With our success last term it will bring deserved respect from other clubs within the league but also a much greater challenge as our opponents raise their games in an attempt to conquer the current League & Parish Cup double winners.

Mytholmroyd as a club proved last season that we do have strength in depth and we may be required to call on this in another long competitive season.  Calling on both our Second team and our Junior players.

We have many good individual cricketers at Mytholmroyd CC at present and some great potential for the future, however it is essential that we take nothing for granted this summer and remain focused as a team, continuing the spirit and togetherness we showed last season.  IT OBVIOUSLY WORKS!!!!!  This will hopefully ensure the future of the club is a long and successful one.
