Sunday XI

The 2009 season captain is Hywel Morgan and the vice captain is Paul Watson.

Hywel joined the club 4 or 5 seasons ago and has been a regular member of the Sunday XI who has made significant contributions as an opening batsman.

Paul is a long time member of the club and as well as being Secretary is the Junior Co-ordinator.  His knowledge of the juniors will be a useful asset in his vice captaincy role, as we see the Sunday side as the first step into open age cricket for our junior players.

The Sunday side suffered relegation to Division 2 (of 3) last year after several successful seasons in the top flight.  However given the players available last season this was no disgrace as our recent crop of outstanding juniors moved up the ranks and out of Sunday cricket.  Dropping down a division will hopefully give us some scope to introduce more jumior players at a level in which we hope they will be competetive.
